The municipal adapted schools in Sandviken should be characterized by a school where we make each other better!

We work with a systematic quality approach with high expectations on everyone. You, as an employee, have a key role. With competence and commitment, we work together to ensure that every student reaches their goals and feels safe and happy at school.

Sandviken municipality has a long tradition of investing in IT, and every student has their own computer. We see digital competence as a tool for creation, communication, and collaboration.

The mission of the adapted school is to promote learning where the individual is encouraged to acquire and develop knowledge and values. The school, in collaboration with the home, should promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals and citizens. The school should be characterized by care for the individual, consideration, and generosity. Education and upbringing are, in a deeper sense, a matter of transferring and developing a cultural heritage – values, traditions, language, knowledge – from one generation to the next. The school should support families in their responsibility for their children's upbringing and development. Therefore, work at the school must take place in close collaboration with the home.

We make a difference and shape the future!
